Over 1,000 attend memorial for crash victims

Loved ones said goodbye to four family members Tuesday evening killed in a plane crash in Colorado March 22.  40 year old Katrina Barksdale, her sons 11 year old Kobe, and 8 year old Xander, and their 14 year old cousin Seth McDuffie, perished in the crash along with pilot 48 year old James "Jimmy" Hill.  Hill and Barksdale were described as friends by those who knew them. Hill was laid to rest Monday.Early Tuesday evening, more than 1,000 people attended a standing-room only service to pay their final respects to the Barksdales and McDuffie.  A private burial was held Tuesday morning for the Barksdales and McDuffie. Then, at 4:30 p.m. more than 1,200 people filled Crosspoint Community Church to pay their last respects. In lieu of flowers, two memorial funds have been set up for Mitchell Elementary School, where the Barksdale boys attended, and Westbrook Christian School where McDuffie attended.
