Authorities continue search for rape suspect

Authorities in Calhoun and Talladega counties continue their search for a man they believe raped two elderly women one year apart.
The two rapes occurred one year apart in the month of July and officials in both counties are concerned that it's July and the unidentified man may strike again, so they're advising women in the area to be very careful.
On July 12, 2012, officials in Calhoun County say a man followed an elderly woman to her home on a Sunday afternoon and sexually assaulted her in her yard.

Then in July of 2013 in northern Talladega County, a different senior adult female was also sexually assaulted after she was followed to her home by the suspect.

Each rape survivor gave descriptions of the person who attacked them and investigators in both counties say that's their suspect.

Calhoun County Sheriff Larry Amerson wants the man in custody, and he also warns people to be vigilant of their surroundings since both victims were followed from public places to their homes.
If you have any details or know who this man could be, you're asked to call the Calhoun county sheriff's office at 256-236-6600.
