Meehan announces retirement

Jacksonville State University president  Dr. Bill Meehan, announced at Mondays board of trustees meeting that he will be retiring in June 2015.   The delay in Meehan's departure will give board members an opportunity to name a successor.  Meehan has been president since July 1999. He is a Jacksonville State alumnus who started working at the school as a biology instructor.
