Burglary suspect nabbed after victim steps on him while getting out of bed

Attalla police arrested a man on burglary charges after his victim awoke and stepped on him while getting out of bed.  25 year old Benjamin Justin Cameron of Attalla, was charged with third-degree burglary and two counts of second-degree theft.
According to police, Cameron allegedly entered a neighbor’s home in the early morning hours of July 3. The woman living there woke up around 5 a.m., and when she started to get out of bed, she heard a grunt, because she had put her feet down on the suspect, who was lying on the floor.
She was able to identify the suspect and police apprehended him.
He had taken jewelry, a camera, a cellphone and prescription medication from his neighbor’s home.
Cameron also faces three counts of possession of a controlled substance, and is being held for Marshall County authorities.
