A 28 year old Anniston man has been charged with felony
child abuse in connection with an investigation by Anniston police.
Jeromy Scott Wilkinson, is charged with child abuse after
police say his 9-year-old son said Wilkinson struck him several times with a
switch for urinating on his bedroom floor.
The boy stated that he was locked in his room and did not
have access to the bathroom.
A local elementary school contacted the Department of Human
Resources, which investigated the incident. The matter was turned over to the
Calhoun County District Attorney's Office, and a warrant for Wilkinson’s arrest was issued.
