Etowah County woman conviced of shooting at man and his family

A 43 year old Etowah County woman was sentenced to one year in jail Wednesday for shooting at a man and his family on Leeth Gap Cutoff Road near Boaz.  Felicia Knight, appeared before Etowah County District Judge Joe Nabors for trial on one count of reckless endangerment.
The investigation into the allegation began in October 2013, when the Etowah County Sheriff's Department received a report that shots had been fired in the Leeth Gap Cutoff Road area. Deputies investigated and determined that Knight fired a gun at the victim, James Naylor, and several of his family members.
Knight was charged with reckless endangerment. Nabors heard the case Wednesday and returned a verdict of guilty. He sentenced Knight to the maximum one-year sentence and ordered her to serve six months of that sentence in the Etowah County Detention Center.
