Authorities report A Boaz man died from smoke and soot
inhalation in a Saturday morning fire at his residence on Arrington Road in
Boaz.
88 year old Millard Arrington, died in the fire.
The Boaz Fire Department responded to the blaze at 4:52 a.m.
Saturday. The four residents were apparently asleep when the fire started. The
other three people were able to escape with no injuries.
The fire is under investigation by the local fire marshal
and the state fire marshal.
