Arrest made in Blount County Murder

The boyfriend of a Blount County woman found dead in her home Friday night has now been charged with capital murder.  District Attorney Pamela Casey announced Wednesday the arrest of  44 year old Donnie Wayne Brown. Brown is charged in the slaying of 33-year-old Crystal Marie Huie, who he started dating three years ago.  Huie was found dead Friday by family members at a home on Dunnhill Road in Blountsville. Casey said that Huie died of blunt force trauma and strangulation. Investigators believe she was killed between 10 and 10:30 a.m. Friday. Brown was arrested Tuesday on domestic violence and criminal mischief charges. Those charges were upgraded Wednesday to capital murder during a robbery. Casey said he stole Huie's cash, cell phone and car keys.

Casey says Brown is being held at the Blount County Correctional Facility on no bond.
