Ridership at the TOP Trails Park in Talladega County continues
to increase, with more than triple the number of riders coming through the gate
in May 2015 as during the same month last year.
According to park Director Wes Pope, a total of 1,951 riders
at $10 each came into the park in May of this year. There were 775 riders at $5
each during the same month the previous year.
During the same period, a total of 54 campers used the park,
as opposed to 25 last year, at $10 each. Total gate for the month came to
$19,510.
Of this May’s total, some 726 came in for the special events
Saturday night with Motorcycle Sports, including a night ride.
In spite of so many riders all showing up at the same time,
Pope said he had not heard a singe complaint through the whole event, and
everyone appeared to have enjoyed themselves.
He recommended having another such event soon, possibly in
July.
