Justin Earl Wayne Cummings |
Talladega Circuit Judge Bo Hollingsworth accepted a guilty
plea Tuesday for reckless murder and sentenced 33 year old Justin Earl Wayne
Cummings to 20 years in prison.
Cummings entered his guilty plea Tuesday afternoon. The
charges against him stem from an incident in Sylacauga on Oct. 28, 2012.
According to District Attorney Steve Giddens, Cummings was
driving drunk when he was stopped by Sylacauga police. He ended up fleeing from
the stop and eventually turning out his headlights to make himself harder to
see at night.
He crossed the center line and struck a second vehicle head
on, killing another person.
