Two Talladega County residents have been arrested on felony
drug charges stemming from two different incidents.
23 year old Matthew Shane Green, was arrested Wednesday for
manufacture and possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, and for
possession of drug paraphernalia. According to Talladega County Drug and
Violent Crime Task Force Cmdr. Jason Murray, Green was arrested in connection
with an incident Monday that had previously lead to the arrest of 21 year old
Daniel Shann Hay, and 18 year old Tyra
Jordan Faulkner.
Murray said Talladega County Sheriff’s deputies responded to
a domestic violence call on Centerhill Road, near Sylacauga. When no one came
to the door, Murray said, deputies went around to the side of the building and
discovered a “shake and bake” style meth cook through the open back door.
Hay and Faulkner were arrested immediately, but Green was
not home at the time.
The second arrest was made Wednesday afternoon when
Talladega police responded to a possible burglary call on Grogan Road. It was
not immediately clear if there had been actual entrance to the target
residence.
32 year old Bobby Lee Trussell III, of Talladega, along with two females, then
appear to have fled the scene.
According to Chief Jason Busby, the two females were never
charged with anything. Officers chased Trussell for a couple of blocks before
one of them unholstered his weapon. Trussell then complied, without any further
incident.
