Burglary suspects arrested after they run out of gas

Nathan Alan Holland

Calhoun County investigators solved several burglary cases when a deputy stopped to help people walking along Highway 431.
Sheriff Larry Amerson said They told the deputy they were out of gas, which was accurate, but  They forgot to mention they had burglarized a house in the Dearmanville area.
Amerson said when they were driving back home to Gadsden they decided to stop at a couple of places.  There was one house up the hill where they went in on a lady and were taking things, and a block building.  There were some personal items stored there from another resident and they went in there and took some property out of her storage building.
Gangel Dalton Flores
Deputies arrested 23-year-old Gangel Dalton Flores, 25-year-old Nathan Alan Holland, and a woman not yet identified by investigators.  Flores and Holland are charged with burglary, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The sheriff said the owner of the block building where the suspects' car ran out of gas is the sister of a woman who was stabbed during a home invasion and robbery two weeks earlier.  Amerson said the burglar in that case did not know someone was at home.
Investigators are currently trying to determine if Flores and Holland may be suspects in other recent burglaries in Calhoun County.
