Joel Matthew Hicks |
An Etowah County man is charged in connection with a
domestic violence incident.
The Etowah County Sheriff's office says 27-year-old Joel
Matthew Hicks of Altoona was arrested on February 11th.
He was charged with one count of domestic violence by
suffocation/strangulation, which is a felony.
Hicks and the victim were in a verbal argument when he
allegedly placed his hands around the victim's neck causing the victim to pass
out.
Hicks was booked into the Etowah County Detention Center and
later released.
