Agents of the Etowah County Drug Enforcement Unit arrested
a woman for drug trafficking last weekend.
54 year old Mona Lisa Gonzales, faces charges of
trafficking methamphetamine and possession of an altered firearm.
Gonzales was arrested
late Friday night or early Saturday morning, after agents had spent a
couple of days investigating the case.
Investigators say that Gonzales delivered about 40 grams
of methamphetamine to a location in the Lookout Mountain area, and was taken
into custody.
She was found to be in possession of a pistol with the
serial number ground off, resulting in the firearms charge.
