
Police say that Two men were goose hunting about 8 a.m.
Monday when one of the hunters slipped and fell, discharging his shotgun and
striking the other man in the side.
Rainbow City police and fire departments received multiple
calls and arrived to discover that one person had been shot.
According to witness accounts, the incident was an
accident.
The injured person was treated on the scene by medics and
then a helicopter landed at the scene to fly him to UAB Hospital in Birmingham.
