Toddler shot in Anniston housing complex

Anniston police report that A toddler was shot in the foot Tuesday morning .

Police say  the shooting happened around 8 a.m. Tuesday morning on  29th Street.

The toddler was sitting on the porch at Norwood Homes apartment complex when he was struck by a bullet. The child was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Police say the  shots came from inside a red or burgundy four-door sedan. Police say the toddler was not the intended victim.

The suspected shooter is a Black Male in his late teens or early 20s. Police say no suspect is in custody at this time.
