Gadsden's Back Forty Beer Co., in partnership with Alexander
City's SpringHouse Restaurant and Coosa Riverkeeper, is sponsoring the
"Cheers to the Coosa" benefit dinner Thursday, March 5.
The event will take place from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at Back Forty
Beer Co. in Gadsden.
Chef Rob McDaniel, named the 2013 James Beard Award
semifinalist for best chef in the South, has prepared a menu:
Tickets are $65 and are available at the Coosa Riverkeeper
website. Admission includes meal, beer, tax, gratuity and a year-long
membership to Coosa Riverkeeper. Hors d'oeuvres will be served at 6:30 p.m.,
with guests seated at 7 p.m.
Coosa Riverkeeper works to protect, restore and promote the
Coosa River and its tributaries, according to the organization. The group works
in the river's middle and lower basins, which covers a 5,000 square mile area,
220 miles of river and five of the river's six lakes.
