Third suspect charged in Oxford Double Murder investigation

Reginald Marquell Billingsley

Oxford Police Chief Bill Partridge said Thursday that a third man has been arrested in connection with a December double homicide in an Oxford motel.
26 year old Reginald Marquell Billingsley, of Anniston, was arrested Wednesday. He has been charged with second-degree receiving stolen property and first-degree hindering prosecution.
He is currently being held in the Calhoun County Jail.
The charges are related to a Dec. 19, 2014 killing at the Super 8 Motel on Alabama 21 in Oxford. Wednesday, 20 year old  Kerojae Oyfon Loveberry, was charged with two counts of capital murder in killing of 24 year old Cordeira Romye Maxwell,  of Ohatchee, and 23 year old Misty Renea Lopez, of Oxford.
They were both shot in the head during what Partridge called killings "over drugs and money."
Police declined to say how Billingsley's charges are related to the event. However, Oxford Police used the department's Facebook page to ask for tips as to his whereabouts.
A day after the killings, police arrested 21 year old Jamie Edgar Gomez, of Oxford, on charges of tampering with physical evidence and possession of marijuana. At the time, police identified him as a "person of interest."
Partridge said neither Billingsley nor Gomez was involved in the actual murders.
