The Blount County Coroner John Mark Vaughn confirms
authorities are investigating a homicide.
According to Vaughn, a female shot a male and then turned
the firearm on herself.
The man has passed away but Vaughn does not have an updated
condition on the female.
Sgt. Fred Cochran with the sheriff's office says they
responded to a call at a home in the 700 block of Nolan Loop in the
Horton/Susan Moore area around 7 p.m. Monday.
