Terry Lee McKinney |
Cherokee County District Judge Wes Mobley found probable
cause sufficient to turn over the murder case against Terry Lee McKinney to a
grand jury.
McKinney is accused of murdering and dismembering
60-year-old Learoy “Pete” Foster, a Leesburg man who had done work for him off
and on for a few years.
He is being held on $1 million bond, and the judge denied a
motion to lower that bond Thursday in a hearing at the Etowah County Judicial
Building.
McKinney is being housed at the Etowah County Detention
Center because of his medical condition. He is a paraplegic and appeared in
court in a motorized wheelchair.
