Dekalb drug arrests

Authorities in Dekalb county report A yearlong, multiple agency drug investigation has resulted in the arrests Tuesday of four people.
 Officers executed a second warrant in the past three weeks at a residence in the Frog Pond mobile home park. About two pounds of methamphetamine, with a street value of $77,760, was found and $2,265 in cash were seized.
 26 year old Serena Maria Landis, 31 year old  L.C. Waller, 29 year old Felicia Diane Martinez, and 24 year old  John Kelcey Whisenant, all of Collinsville, were charged with trafficking in illegal drugs. They remain in the DeKalb County Detention Center.
 The investigation involved the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, the DeKalb County Drug Task Force, Fort Payne police, the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office and Drug Enforcement Unit, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and its North Alabama Safe Streets Task Force, the Drug Enforcement Administration, Albertville police narcotics officers, the Alabama State Fire Marshal and Collinsville police.

The agencies continue to investigate the drug supply line, although authorities said the arrests “made a dent” in it.
