The trial of a Delta man in connection with the 2013
shooting death of a weaver woman is underway in Calhoun County. Defense
attorneys for 23 year old John Denver Pegg of Delta said Monday that the
shooting that killed a 20-year-old Weaver woman was an accident, the result of
an argument and a hypersensitive shotgun.
Pegg is charged with manslaughter in connection with the
shooting death of his girlfriend, Elizabeth Lauren Hartnett, at her Weaver apartment. The trial continues today.
