Police seek help in identifying homocide suspect



Talladega Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect in the city’s first homicide of 2014.
Police say a Talladega patrol officer first reported hearing six to eight gunshots coming from somewhere on Howard Street at 9:46 p.m. Tuesday evening. The officer eventually located a small crowd that had formed outside a house on Howard Street, and one person flagged down the officer.
The officer found the victim lying on the ground complaining of difficulty breathing. He was to the emergency room of Citizens Baptist Medical Center. He was pronounced dead in the emergency room at 10:30 p.m.
Police identified the victim as 33 year old Labrian Deon Marizette.
One witness said the shooter appeared to be a black male who was seen running at the scene, but no further description was available.
