Dispite not carrying his home county, Williams is re-elected to state senate

Incumbent state Sen. Phil Williams received 52 percent of the vote across four counties Tuesday to defeat former state Sen. Larry Means in the District 10 race.
 The race was a rematch of the contest four years ago, when Williams won with 53 percent of the vote.
   Williams received enough votes in the other counties that make up the district to claim the office.
While Means carried Etowah County by 122 votes,
