Stolen Ambulance recovered in Tennessee

Rural Metro Ambulance management says an ambulance stolen from the Riverview Medical Center in Gadsden on Thursday has been found in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Officials said the ambulance was not wrecked or damaged.
Officials with the company said that EMT's were inside picking up a patient when the ambulance was stolen Thursday afternoon.
Witnesses said someone jumped inside the ambulance and drove off. Rural Metro said it's believed the suspected thief was either a patient or someone who was recently discharged.
This was the crew's first run of the day and the company said there was no patient information or medications inside of the ambulance. Rural Metro said the vehicle looks like a transport van but is considered an ambulance.

Gadsden police are investigating.
