Gadsden Police investigating attempted murder

Gadsden Police report A 63-year-old man sustained superficial injuries when a man tried to kill him Saturday evening after the two had argued.
According to the police report, the two men had argued over the victim’s girlfriend earlier in the week, and on Saturday, both were at a barbecue on Whitehall Street. Another argument began and escalated to a fist fight.
The suspect, a 58-year-old man, left the scene and came back, stepping out of his vehicle with a shotgun in his hand firing once at the man.
The victim ran and hid until the suspect left. A neighbor drove him to a local hospital where he was treated for superficial wounds to the back, left arm and the back of his head, then was discharged.
