Talladega man charged in March home invasion in Cropwell

A 23 year old Talladega man has been arrested by the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department in connection with a Cropwell community home invasion.
St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department Assistant Sheriff Billy Murray said Michael Marquisc Martin,  of Talladega, was arrested by authorities and charged with first-degree robbery and burglary.
The suspect allegedly broke into a home on Oak Street, Cropwell, during the early morning hours of March 28, 2014.
The suspect allegedly assaulted and robbed the two women living at the residence at the time.
Murray said that“It appears one of the victims knew the subject.
Martin is in the St. Clair County Jail on $60,000 bonds for each offense.
Murray said the investigation into the March home invasion case continues.
He said authorities could make more arrests in connection with the case.
