Parole denied for man convicted in Gadsden Murder

The Alabama board of pardons and paroles has denied par
ole to Fredrico Robinson, convicted in the 1993 murder of a 19 year old Attalla woman.
Misty Dawn Loggins, and a friend stopped on East Broad Street on Dec. 28, 1993, after Robinson flagged them down. He pulled a gun and demanded money and a necklace Loggins was wearing.
Loggins tried to drive away, but Robinson fired a gun at the back window of the car. Loggins was shot in the head and she died Jan. 2, 1994, from the injuries. Robinson was convicted in 1997 and sentenced to life in prison for the murder and 20 years for second-degree robbery.

Both Etowah County District Attorney Jimmie Harp and Sheriff Todd Entrekin wrote letters opposing Robinson’s parole, and many people wrote letters or signed petitions.
