Chemical Endangerment arrest

A Rainbow City woman has been arrested for chemical endangerment of a child.
27 year old “Talya Renae Howard,  of Rainbow City, was arrested and charged with chemical endangerment of exposing a child to an environment in which controlled substances are ingested, produced or distributed, which is a felony.  Howard knew she was pregnant and admitted to taking Percocet and Klonopin. She also tested positive for methamphetamine.  Police have detained Howard in the Etowah County Detention Center pending a $10,000 bond. After her release, she will be under supervision and must complete a treatment program.
