Gadsden police say A woman died in a traffic accident about
12:05 a.m. Sunday morning at the corner of Third Street and Meighan
Boulevard. 76 year old Minnie Green
Brown, was driving south on Third Street
from Tuscaloosa Avenue in a Mercedes when her vehicle was struck by a Nissan
Pathfinder, according to Etowah County Coroner Michael Head. Her vehicle spun
and ended up in the parking lot of the Jet Pep station. She was not wearing a
seat belt and was pronounced dead on the scene. The driver of the Pathfinder said she hit
the brakes, but her brakes didn’t respond.Tuesday, October 20, 2015
