Gadsden robbery suspect facing additional charges

Police say A robbery suspect already in jail has now been charged with a previous robbery in which he claimed to have an explosive device.
36 year old James Michael Turner, was arrested Wednesday after Gadsden police officers involved in a domestic violence warrant roundup spotted a vehicle that matched the description of one possibly used in a robbery Tuesday morning on West Meighan Boulevard. About 9:40 a.m. Wednesday, patrol officers spotted the suspect vehicle and made a traffic stop at the intersection of North 12th Street and West Meighan Boulevard.
Turner had been charged with first-degree robbery for the Tuesday incident,. After continued investigation, police charged him with a second count of first-degree robbery and possession of a hoax device.
He’s charged in connection with an incident Oct. 6 at a business in the Etowah Crossing strip mall.
a man robbed the store about 10:50 a.m., claiming to have an explosive device. His face was concealed with a gauze-like material and he had what appeared to be an injury to his face.
