Etowah animal shelter receives grant

The Etowah County Animal Shelter has been awarded a grant to aid and assist in the spaying and neutering of animals housed at the shelter, according to a news release from Etowah County Chief Administrative Officer Patrick Simms. The grant from the Petco Foundation will provide desperately needed funds to spay and neuter animals that are awaiting adoption.  Anyone who is considering adopting a pet can contact the Etowah County Animal Shelter at 256-492-0801.
