Suspect arrested in St. Clair county shooting

The St. Clair County Sheriff's Office says John Barry Taylor is in custody in connection with a fatal shooting at his house in Shoal Creek. Investigators believe it started out as a verbal fight between Taylor and the victim.  The Sheriff's Office says Taylor and David Campbell got into a verbal argument Friday night at Taylor's house on the 26 hundred block of Shoal Creek Road. It escalated into a shooting. Investigators found Campbell shot and killed.  Taylor was arrested and is scheduled to appear in court this week on an unrelated charge of unlawful possession of a concealed weapon.
