Man pleads guilty to sexual abuse

A Cherokee county  man accused of terrorizing multiple generations of his family pleaded guilty Friday to sexual abuse charges and was sentenced to 10 years in prison.  70 year old Robert Shad, pleaded guilty to attempted sexual abuse of a child under age 12 and second-degree sexual abuse.  He was indicted last fall by a grand jury for sex crimes involving multiple victims. Shad has applied for probation and will appear Aug. 20 for a probation hearing.
