Representatives from Blue Bell Creameries confirmed the
start trial runs at the company’s Sylacauga plant Wednesday.
The ice cream company first made the announcement July 8
that it would begin the trials sometime this week. Blue Bell recalled all
products and halted production at all of its facilities in April after its ice
cream was linked to several cases of listeriosis that caused three deaths.
Blue Bell offered no more details on the start of its trial
run but indicated it was excited to begin the process of putting products back
on shelves.
