Gadsden man stabbed by teenage son

Gadsden Police report A domestic incident at a Padenreich Avenue residence sent a man to the hospital after he reportedly was stabbed by his teenage son.  According to police reports, the 19-year-old’s mother told police he came to her defense during an altercation with his father.  Police were called to the house about 12:45 p.m. by a caller who said a man had been stabbed by his son. When they arrived, they found a man lying in the front yard of a house across the street from his residence, being helped by two people. The man crossed the street in front of their vehicle and they saw he was bleeding. Both were in medical professions and stopped to render help, staying with the victim until paramedics arrived. The 47-year-old man was taken to a hospital. The 45-year-old woman reported she and her husband had gotten into an argument, and her husband pushed her to the floor and held a knife to her throat. Their son intervened on his mother’s behalf, according to the report, and the stabbing occurred.
