A family is mourning the loss of their 23-year-old son shot
and killed Thursday night. Police are looking for clues into the death of
Aldrick Garrett. He is the son of poet and author Marshall Pope.
Marshall Pope, Garrett's father said his son was visiting
friends on scott street in Talladega around 6:00 Thursday night when he was
shot and killed. Aldrick leaves behind two daughters - one is three, the other
just a year old.
Talladega Police ask that anyone with information contact
them or Crime Stoppers.
