Lockdown lifted at St. Clair Prison



The Alabama Department of Corrections (ADOC) says a lockdown has been lifted at the St. Clair County Correctional Facility following two confrontations between guards an inmates.
One guard was injured and needed medical attention off-site and as many as 30 inmates were involved the incidents last Friday, April 17. Fifteen inmates were injured.
ADOC spokesperson Bob Horton says there were no fatalities. The guard's medical condition is unknown, according to Horton. The three inmates who needed off-site medical attention have been returned to the jail.
The situation is still under investigation.
