A Piedmont man was arrested and charged in connection to a
burglary, according to Etowah County Sheriff Todd Entrekin.
25 year old Dustin Cecil Vaughn, and one misdemeanor count of third degree
theft by deception.
was arrested Saturday
and is charged with one felony count of third degree burglary,
Vaughn allegedly broke into a rental property on Posey Road,
April 5, around 11 p.m.
The owner of the residence was unaware of the burglary until
approached by Investigators.
Information received from another case led investigators to
the victim, where they asked the owner to check the rental residence. The
victim confirmed a burglary had occurred.
Vaughn was booked into the Etowah County Detention Center
and later released on $3,500 bond.
A second suspect in the case is still being sought.
