One dead and three injured in Gadsden crash



A 23-year-old man died Saturday morning in a one-vehicle accident on Brooke Avenue in Gadsden, according to Etowah County Coroner Michael Head.
The crash happened at 8 a.m. Saturday morning
. There were four people in a 2003 Infiniti traveling north on Brooke Avenue at a high rate of speed. The vehicle left the road and traveled 140 feet, hit a tree and sheared in half. The back half of the car hit three more trees. Eliasar Miguel Francisco, a passenger in the back seat, was ejected and found lying in the roadway. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Three others in the vehicle were taken to the hospital with injuries that weren't considered life-threatening.
