Reward offered for info on missing Marshall County Teen

Jason Glenn Richards

A Marshall County teen has been missing since Feb. 8, and Albertville police hope the offer of a reward will help to bring in information about his whereabouts.
15 year old Jason Glenn Richards,  was last seen at Zaxby's in Guntersville.
Assistant Police Chief Jamie Smith said authorities believed Richards to be a runaway at the time he was reported missing, and they have learned nothing to change that opinion. He said there is increased concern because of the length of time Richards has been gone without contacting family.
He said the department has not received a lot of information about possible locations for Richards, and they hope that the potential for a reward might bring someone forward who knows where the boy might be.
Albertville detectives contacted Marshall County District Attorney Steven T. Marshall, who in turn asked the governor's office for assistance. The governor's office has granted a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrators.
Richards is described as a white/male, 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds. He has blue eyes and dark brown hair.
Richards is featured on the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children website, and on the Facebook page We Help the Missing.
Anyone with information regarding Richards is asked to contact Albertville Police at 256-878-1212 or the Albertville Police Detective Division at 256-891-8274.
