Two women have been arrested in the murder of an 82-year-old Gadsden man, and one of them is the man's daughter.
Authorities in Etowah County confirm 47-year-old Clara Yarborough Roden and 49-year-old Jacqueline Nipper West were booked into the Etowah County Jail Monday night on a $250,000 bond. Both are charged with murder.
The two are charged in the death of 82-year-old Charlie Yarborough at his home in Pine Ridge Apartments in Gadsden.
Clara Roden is the victim's daughter and also a resident of Pine Ridge Apartments.
In an interview last week, Roden said she found her father dead in his bathroom and she believed he fell and hit his head. But autopsy results later showed Charlie Yarborough died of blunt force trauma to the head.
