Two Anniston officers rescued a woman Saturday, pulling her from her
overturned car, which was submerged in water.
Officers Thomas Freckman and Jonathan Yarbrough arrived at the scene of
a car crash at around 9:30 p.m. on the corner of 11th Street and Brown
Avenue.
A 38-year-old woman, not knowing
the road was a dead end, drove into a guardrail, which which caused her car to
overturn into a ditch filled with water. The woman was trapped inside when
officers arrived, and both officers jumped into the water and broke a window to
remove her.
She was treated for non-life
threatening injuries at Regional Medical Center.
