Wellington woman arrested on murder charge

Calhoun County authorities have charged a Wellington woman with murder in connection with the Wednesday stabbing death of her boyfriend.  41 year old Lori Williamson, was arrested by Calhoun County sheriff deputies Wednesday night.  50 year old John Fitzgerald Hicks, was pronounced dead at 10:35 p.m. Wednesday night at his residence on Webster Road in Wellington.According to Sheriff Larry Amerson, Hicks lived with Williamson at the home, according to Amerson.

Deputies arrived at the home Wednesday evening and found a man lying in the yard bleeding as well as signs of a struggle inside the home. Williamson at first said she did not know what happened to Hicks, but later told investigators she and her boyfriend had been arguing and that she was responsible for his death.
