A Talladega man was arrested Thursday and is being held on felony warrants issued through the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department.
23 year old David Rush Freeman, was arrested after officers responded to a possible
burglary call on Shady Lane at about 5:30 a.m. There was no entrance made to the house,
but witnesses did see a white male running away from the house and police soon followed.
Officers eventually made contact with Freeman and arrested him for attempting to elude
police. Bond in that case was set at $1,000. As of Thursday afternoon, he had not been
charged with attempted burglary. Freeman has warrants from Shelby County for theft
of property in the second degree and three counts of fraudulent use of a credit
or debit card. Bond in these cases was set at $10,000 each.
