Three
people have been arrested by Anniston police on charges of using
counterfeit money at two local bars earlier this month. 31 year old
Christopher Dale Grayson, 22 year old Audrianna Triana Swink, and
24 year old Justin Javarius Cleveland, all from Anniston, were
charged with felony charges of first-degree possession of a forged
instrument. The bogus bills were passed at AJ’s Sunset Bar and
Grille on Hillyer Robinson Parkway. Police say a woman tried to use a
fake $100 bill at the bar. The bar’s security detained the woman
until police arrived. While officers were questioning the woman, a
man tried to use another fake $100 bill. Both suspects, who were
identified as Swink and Cleveland, said they didn’t know the money
was counterfeit. Swink and Cleveland also told police they didn’t
know each other. The following day, police received a report from
The Smoking Moose on Noble Street that employees discovered 14
counterfeit $100 bills were used at the bar on the night of Aug. 4.
Police reviewed surveillance video footage from The Smoking Moose,
and identified Swink, Cleveland and Grayson as the suspects. Police
say another arrest could be pending in the case.
