Investigators
with the Talladega County Sheriff’s Office are searching for two
men who robbed a local convenience store last week. Investigators
have been reviewing surveillance video from the Coldwater Friendly
Stop on Priebes Mill Road in hopes of identifying the suspects.
According to Sheriff Jimmy Kilgore the two men approached a cashier
outside the store around 10 p.m. Wednesday. Kilgore said the two
suspects took the woman back into the convenience store, where they
stole cash from the register and her purse. The sheriff said The
suspects kept putting their hands in their pockets indicating they
had a gun, but the clerk never actually saw a gun. The cashier was
not injured during the robbery. The two men fled the store on foot
win an undetermined amount of money. The sheriff said One suspect
wore a black hoodie, and the other wore a camouflaged hoodie.
