Oxford Police bust three people trying to scam a store. Police say the trio purchased more than $300 worth of
cigarettes using re-encoded gift cards. This means the numbers
embossed on the front of the gift cards did not match the account
number on the card's magnetic strip.
When the clerk at Charlie's Tobacco Outlet realized one of the
cards was stolen, the suspects took off with the cigarettes. Police caught up with the suspects and found about 45 cloned gift
cards inside the vehicle.
34 year old Aboubaker Doumbia, of Atlanta, 31 year old Shaquandra
Alford, of Atlanta, and 26 year old Chiquta Roundtree, of Atlanta,
were all charged with possession of a forged instrument second
degree.
They are being held on bonds of $100,000 each .
