Deputies have arrested a Lincoln man on assault charges after he
allegedly struck his uncle with a car. Authorities say that 20 year
old Christopher Short, tried to pull into the driveway he shares
with his aunt and uncle while the couple worked on a barbed-wire
fence. When Short couldn’t pass by his uncle’s tractor, parked
just off the side of the driveway, he accelerated his vehicle and
struck his uncle in the leg. After Short hit his uncle, he got out
of his car and began yelling at the man. The victim told police he
did not respond to Short, who then drove home. The victim then called
the police. Short was arrested and charged with felony second-degree
assault .
