Union to hold first of four meetings on Goodyear contract

The first of four meetings this week with members of Local 12 of the United Steelworkers to discuss the proposed four-year contract with the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. is scheduled for this evening at the union hall in Gadsden. The other five Goodyear plants that will be voting before Gadsden on the tentative contract agreement that was reached July 27 have already met to discuss the proposed contract. Other meetings to discuss the contract proposal will be held at the union hall, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday Union member will vote on the contract Aug. 20^th.
